2012 TERROR RISK

BRITAIN'S top police chief yesterday warned that the 2012 Olympics are a major terror risk - as it was revealed we are now al-Qaeda's main target.

Sir Ian Blair, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said forces across the country are drawing up plans to prevent fanatics disrupting the event.

He revealed: "From where we are now it is clear that the Olympic Games will be a huge target for terrorists." Senior police sources believe policing the London event will cost £3billion.

Meanwhile, intelligence chiefs have warned that Britain has become al-Qaeda's number one terror target.

Officials said well-organised sleeper cells are bedding in across the UK, operating on similar lines to the IRA at the height of the Troubles.

Russian gas supplies to S. Korea may begin in 2012

Russian gas supplies to S. Korea may begin in 2012

RBC, 17.10.2006, Seoul 13:46:56.Russian natural gas supplies to South Korea may begin in 2012 or 2013, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told reporters in Seoul today. Russia expected to sell about 10 billion cubic meters a year, Miller said. The project envisages the signing of a long-term contract for more than 30 years, and the size of the supplies could be increased in future.

The intergovernmental agreements on gas cooperation give a green light to commercial negotiations between Gazprom and the Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS). "We have immediately begun talks on gas supplies from Russia to South Korea," Miller stressed. He said different gas pipeline routes were being considered. There are two options - a sea route or a land route. The value of the land route is estimated at almost $2 billion, according to Miller.

Bill O'Reilly snubbed by the NY Times

O'Reilly Ignored by New York Times

From News Max

Fox superstar Bill O'Reilly is running neck-and-neck with Washington Post editor Bob Woodward as the two vie for top spot on the New York Times list of nonfiction best sellers.

In the Time's list published this past Sunday, Woodward's Bush-bashing book, "State of Denial," came in as No. 1, with O'Reilly's "Culture Warrior" close on Woodward's heels in the No. 2 spot.

Last week, "Culture Warrior" was No. 1.

The Times has reviewed Woodward's book positively.

But so far the paper stubbornly refuses to review O'Reilly's book.

Tagging humans with RFID

"A new technology is to be trialled in Debrecen Airport in Hungary that will involve tagging all passengers with high-powered RFID tags.
From the Register article: 'People will be told to wear radio tags round their necks when they get to the airport. The tag would notify a computer system of their identity and whereabouts. The system would then track their activities in the airport using a network of high definition cameras.
"[The tags] have got a long range, of 10m to 20m," said Dr. Paul Brennan of University College London's antennas and radar group which developed the tags, "and the system has been designed so the tag can be located to within a meter, and it can locate thousands of tags in one area at a given time."'
The system is being touted for 'Improving airport efficiency, security and passenger flow by enhanced passenger monitoring.'
BBC is also reporting this story, and brings up such hurdles to the project as 'finding a way of ensuring the tags cannot be switched between passengers or removed without notification.'

As for any mention of the 'hurdle' of people's rights, the article vaguely and briefly states that 'The issue of infringement of civil liberties will also be key,' but doesn't bother to go into any pesky details."

Sunday Morning Coming Down

I haven't been to church for about 2 months now.Today my family went without me.I don't know, there's just something there making me well, kinda bored with it.I love God, I believe that Jesus is God incarnate, I believe in the Holy Spirit.I don't always have the money to put in the offering plate.I think my church wastes the money they do get, but who am I to say anything about it.

Anything I can say in the order of an excuse is just that, an excuse.

The world is moving towards what has been spoken of for centuries.
Armageddon is here, like said in the past.
or so Metallica once said.

I don't know whether I should be happy to be living in the end times, or angry for it.
This is the last generation, and we will all see it come to pass.

Revelation 12

1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
