Scientists warn Bush not to nuke Iran

The Union of Concerned Scientists recently warned that, should the USA use nuclear weapons in Iran, of say 1 megaton yield, it would kill 3 million people in Iran and another 35 million will die of radiation fallout in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. This animation depicts a proposed weapon with a one megaton yield. The funding for this weapon was cut in 2005 defense appropriations. However, the United States still has a B61-11 nuclear 'bunker buster' in its arsenal which has a 340 kiloton yield, which could still cause hundreds of thousands of deaths and spread radiation to other countries. The animation shows the way radioactive wind will blow first 48 hours. Hot, dry air, blowing from arid-plains of Iran, Afghanistan will carry radioactive dust into the India, and blow right across the northern Gangetic plains.
